| Days 1-2 | Arrive Brazzaville. Welcome dinner. Colourful and charming, Brazzaville offers an endearing introduction to the Republic of the Congo’s culture, cuisine, and colonial-era architecture. Highlights include encounters with the iconic Sapeurs, Congo’s stylish cultural ambassadors. Tomorrow we will take a private charter flight to Odzala-Kokoua National Park. |
| Days 3-6 | Ngaga Lodge, situated in the Ndzehi Concession bordering Odzala-Kokoua, is home to a Western Lowland Gorilla research team and offers unforgettable primate encounters. We will enjoy three gorilla tracking adventures in the surrounding rainforest, complemented by guided forest walks and night excursions to explore the vibrant ecosystem. And, of course, no African safari is complete without sundowners amidst the wilderness. |
| Days 7-10 | Lango Lodge, perched on the edge of Lango Baï, offers breathtaking views from its elevated chalets and walkways. We will explore this pristine ecosystem on foot, following elephant trails through streams, baïs, and forests. We’ll wade through the baï’s waters to spot forest buffalo, green pigeons, and, with luck, a shy bongo or forest elephant. This camp offers us the opportunity to discover the forest’s hidden wonders, allowing us the freedom to explore its diverse landscapes; traversing the baï, Lekoli River, and surrounding biomes. |
| Days 11-13 | Mboko Lodge, set along the Lékéni River, offers a blend of adventure and tranquility amid savannas, rivers, and towering forests. Explore riverbanks and forests with your guide to spot forest elephants, buffalo, colorful birdlife, and elusive species like bongo antelope and hippos. Activities include walking, boating, and kayaking through the beautiful Congo Basin habitats. Relax on the river deck, dip your feet in quiet streams, or unwind with a spa treatment while surrounded by nature’s serenity. |
